Disney - MGM Studios

Disney MGM Studios, Orlando
Disney-MGM Studios is probably one of the most interesting sites to be visited in the Orlando area. This is both a theme park and a movie and television production center, which makes for both a fun and informative attraction. The park is divided into five themed areas, each one offering visitors different activities and rides.
The Animation Courtyard is the perfect place for kids and adults alike: kids will love seeing their favorite animated characters incorporated into the attractions, and adults will find things both fun and interesting. Years ago The Magic of Disney Animation walk-through experience was one of the parks hottest sites, but unfortunately since most animation is now done on computers, the ride no longer packs the punch it used to and much of the area is void of the real animators that used to work there. The Voyage of the Little Mermaid show is excellent however, a black-light feature that brings the Disney cartoon to life.
Make your way down Hollywood Boulevard, and be sure to see the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular, which recreates scenes from Raiders of the Lost Arc, and shows how many of the stunts were done. Movie buffs will love the Great Movie Ride, and the Star Tours is a must-see for those who liked the Star Wars movie.
Mickey Avenue features the fun Who Wants to be a Millionaire show, where audience members get to compete for souvenirs and a grand prize of a trip on Disney Cruiselines. Adults will enjoy the Walt Disney: One Man's Dream show, a biography on the man who created the Disney Empire.
New York Street features Jim Henson's Muppet Vision 3D ride, which is fantastic and will be enjoyed by all. The Honey, I Shrunk the Kids movie set is the perfect place to let the kids loose to run around while adults take a well-deserved break.
Finally there is Sunset Boulevard, the best part of the park for thrill seekers. This is where the big rides are, including the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, a drop ride in an elevator through a hotel from a Twilight Zone episode. Aerosmith fans will love the Rock 'n Roller Coaster, where Steve Tyler counts you down to takeoff.
Nighttime at Sunset Boulevard brings Fantasmic! This extravaganza includes pyrotechnics, live action and water effects to create a stunning show.
